Location. The Ostape is located three kilometres outside of the rural Basque village of Bidarray, in Navarre, France. The old spa town of Cambo les Bains is 15 kilometres away. Bidarray train station is three kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The hotel is made up of five traditional white Basque villas, with terracotta tiled roofs, on a 45 hectare estate surrounded by lush green countryside. A heated outdoor swimming pool is available for use in the summer months, and the hotel has a 24 hour front desk where staff will advise guests tours and sightseeing. Onsite parking is complimentary. Ducasse's restaurant at Hotel Ostape is classically decorated in white, with wall lamps, black seating, and wooden floors. The menu demonstrates on the Navarrian cuisine, using produce from local farms, and vegetables, fruits, and herbs grown on the estate. Breakfast is available at a surcharge. Leisure facilities onsite include a fitness centre, Turkish bath, and sauna. The hotel grounds contain a stud farm and a Puttock horse breeding centre, a typical breed of the Basque Pyrenees. Cooking lessons are available, but should be booked in advance. Guestrooms. The 22 air conditioned guestrooms are classically decorated in neutral tones. All have wooden floors and contain a lobby, separate sitting area, and balconies with views over the mountains and valley.
